About the Staffordshire Bull Terrier

At 14 to 16 inches, Staffordshire Bull Terriers do not stand particularly tall. But, weighing anywhere between 24 to 38 pounds, A poweful dog for its size. These are rock-solid, muscular terriers. The head is short and broad, with pronounced cheek muscles, and the tight-fitting coat comes in several colors.

My first encounter with a Stafford. Ruby was a rescue, she thanked me every day for the rest of her life for that.
HOW? I could see her eyes, her smile her body language, she was always by my side, on walks at times, she would go 10-15 ft forward with frequent glances to see if I was there and safe.
Ruby one night woke me from deep sleep to alert me of people brawling in the street.
She could even talk, yes Stafford's are know to do that, we spoke full sentences. We began this game where she would ask to be fed when she was Hungry or wanted water.
Once on a walk in our neighborhood my kids, I and Ruby were confronted with 3 un-leashed, growling, and snarling dogs, I feared my kid's safety and Ruby knew, she turned and placed herself between the 3 dogs and us, she stood her ground un wavered until the dog left.
I can go on and on, this and much more makes for a true Stafford. R.I.P Ruby
